This has sealed the deal for the D800 in cement for me. Also ... sold me on the sigma 1.4 50mm on this camera ... although Id like to see it compared to the Nikkor.

fear ! hahah ...

seriously .. I am going to be using this camera for more than carefully planned shots ... so the the lack of the anti-aliasing filter may add more work and headache than I am willing to deal with. (moire etc)

From what I have seen the D800 non E takes incredible picture in its own right.

That crop he did with the guy drinking beer, wow. That resulting picture was like one that was taken with an 85mm on a D700. Now that's real cropping ability with detail. Very, very nice.
