"Understanding write speed of the D800 ?"

Windsor, CA

I have my D800 setup as the CF card being the primary and the SD as backup shooting in RAW loss less compressed.

My CF Card is a Transcend 32GB 400X which seems to be working pretty good.

My question is this :

Do I need a faster CF card ?
If my SD slot is for backup then it should be a 32GB card as well, but how fast should this card be to be able to keep up with the CF card ?
or how does the D800 work when it comes to writing the same file to two different kind of cards ?
