"D800 Eyepoint"

For those of you have received your D800, and wear glasses while shooting, how is the view? (I don't have my D800 yet) I'm discouraged to learn that the D800's eyepoint is only 17mm, which I think is the shortest eyepoint of any Nikon DSLR yet.

The D700 is 18mm and sort of ok for me, but not as good as the D300, which is I think 19.5mm. Gone are the days of the F3-high eye point, which was great pleasure to use with glasses.

So.. D800 glasses wearers--what is your verdict?

I have to press the glass lens up against the rubber eyepiece, but I can then see the entire viewfinder without problems.

Agreed. I didn't notice a difference (coming from a D300), but now that my attention is called to it, I can JUST see the whole viewfinder, pull back a bit and I lose parts.

However I always rest my glasses against the eyepiece rim, just done that forever, so no matter.
