This is what I've been wanting to see although the longest lens I have is the 80-200. But then I shoot larger mammals so it may work nice.

Yes, it will work nice. It has an amazing ability to crop
It gives you tremendous reach by having enough resolution to crop the smallest area from it. The actual crop is 918 x 612.
Love it. That is why I moved from the Canon 7D to this. It allowed me to have my full frame camera I wanted but not lose the reach I loved with the crop cameras.

Great. My 80-400 has been on the shelf for quite a while. I will have to dig it out and have a shoot-off between the 80-400 and the Sigma 150-500.

That is ... when my D800 finally ships.
