"Changing bank settings"

I can't get bank settings to change(some functions). After selecting lossless compression and 14 bits, it backs out displaying dashes. What am I doing wrong?

I called Nikon. The call was escalated
The dashes remain without an icon representing your selection, unlike other cameras I own. You probably all knew that. But the camera is new to me.
