While Thursday came and gone and I didn't see any chatter so I'm thinking no.

I got my D800 on Wednesday. I was the first on the list for pre orders but the local store I ordered from did not get any D800's when it was released the week before, on Wednesday they received 1 D800 and it was mine, 20 more people are waiting on that list.

My understanding is that Nikon will not ship out anything else this week because they are doing inventory but the first week of April another big shipment should be going out.

Yup. My dealer's first allocation went exclusively to NPS members (which I am not). Its second allocation arrived on Wednesday and I was high on the list of non-NPS members and was lucky enough to receive one. So far, so good.

Mine arrived Wednesday from Berger-Bros. I'm out of town so I won't get to unbox it until this weekend.

Just got mine this morning. I ordered from Adorama on Feb 8th early in the morning. I did some test shots with my D90 before the D800 was delivered today and after getting the battery on the 800 charged and a quick run through on the 800 user guide, I couldnt wait to shoot some quick comparison shots. I cant believe how GREAT this camera is!! The camera settings on both cameras and the results are more than I expected! This is one heck of a camera and almost totally eliminates my frustrations shooting birds in our trees in a somewhat point and shoot mode for test purposes. Next step is doing actual comparisons in more precise detail and reading more about the settings etc. But on the whole, this camera is G R E A T...

I have just received my shipping notification today and it'll arrive tomorrow!

I preordered from B&H very late in the game. Called around to local Best Buys (of which there are two) and missed the only two they had by 20 minutes... Talked to the salesperson and he ordered it on the spot for me and said it should show up yesterday (3/29). I called back yesterday and they said it had shipped but wouldn't arrive at the store until Monday. Seemed pretty simple to me. So I cancelled my preorder from B&H and had them ship me the 70-200 and extra battery for the camera right away.

I got my D800 from Best Buy today. I ordered in the store a week ago. They told me that I would have it today, I got a call from the store today asking me to come and pick it up. I will cancel my order at B&H, very disappointed with them. I have been their customer for 8 years and find that I could get it from BestBuy.

I'm not sure I understand what's going on with B&H either. I pre-ordered from them because...

1) I'm a long time customer

and

2) I though for sure they stood a very good chance at getting some of the largest quantities.

I had a chance to pick one up at BB last week here in B'ham, AL and I balked because of the tax. I'm thinking maybe I should have bit the bullet and made the purchase.

My thinking on the Best Buy cameras is that no NPS orders.

Did they even allow a pre-order on line?

After many phone calls, have learned only 2 stores out of 5 or 6 will carry the D800.

Yes I got mine the first day,at Best Buy of all places. I cancelled all my other lists I was on.

The small Pro-shop I pre-ordered it through had ordered six and received two - they gave me one as I had paid a deposit and had rung the previous week enquiring on how it was going.

I have been playing with it ever since.

I ordered mine March 1st from Adorama. I tried to figure out when I might get it today, but emailing them was pretty much useless. They said they had not even received a shipment from Nikon yet (which can't possibly be true, given that others received them from Adorama already).

The wait continues.

I cancelled my order at B&H today. The customer support person asked me why and I told that I got it from BB. He apologized and told me that B&H had given the number of orders to Nikon and they did not respond back about any details (when they will deliver etc). He also told me that he did not know why BB got it and B&H did not. He speculated that the B&H order might have been a much bigger one, thus getting pushed out. Do not see the logic in that, but I will let that pass.

Picked mine up from Best Buy today. All I can really say jumping from the D200 to this is YOWSA! I've been screwing around with it all afternoon though and I've successfully hand held down to 1/15 with a nikkor 50 1.8... Seems like I will really love this camera!

I pre ordered my D800 on February 7th and I thought that I was top of the list at my local supplier, Conns Cameras in Dublin. But unfortunately not. Some arrived on March 22nd but not for me. There was a price increase last week but I was luck to have put a deposit on the camera before this happened. Here in Dublin in Ireland the price was 2799-99 EURO ($3735.00) but with the adjusted price this will now be 2999-99 Euro ($4000.00). There was allegedly an internal error in pricing for the UK and Ireland and this has now been "corrected". Strange.

The bottom line is still no D800!!
