"First Shots Post Car Accident"

Pacific Palisades, US

So I get a D800 for my birthday and what happens? I get rear-ended while it is in my trunk. The car was totaled, but the good folks at Nikon repair in LA fixed both the camera and my trusty 24-70 f/2.8. Plus, I might actually be learning how to use this thing - it has been a struggle, I will be honest. All shots handheld using available light and high ISO.

Great shots! Thanks for sharing them. The best part is that it sounds like you got through the accident OK. Gear can be fixed or replaced, but that's not always the case with people!

Thanks for the good wishes! I'm in PT for my neck, but at least I can shoot my kids' gigs now.

Hi Dave,

Nice shots, lots of smoke/fog.

Do you shoot any HD video at the Troubadour?

Thanks,

Rob

I did not attempt to do so this time. There was a professional video crew there.
