For those that have shot with both cameras, what are the differences, if any, in IQ between the D700 and the D800? Are the differences worth upgrading from the D700 to the D800? Why or why not.

For background context, I am currently in the process of deciding whether to purchase the two wide 1.4G primes (i.e., 24 and 35) or whether to purchase the D700 or the D800. Like most of us, I cannot afford to purchase everything that I would like to own. I know lenses are forever and cameras are for three (3) years (more or less).
