"100% magnification on playback - where is it?" Sun 02-Dec-12 01:53 PM by Gromit44

I am now completely confused over how to get 100% magnification on image playback.
Page 520 of Thom Hogan's D800 Complete Guide says that the 'zoom in' button can be pressed up to 10 times and that pressing it 8 times gives 100% magnification (approx). Page 598 says that 100% is the 'Medium magnification' setting on the Multi Selector zoom (see menu f2 - Multi selector center button > Playback mode > Zoom on/off > choose from: Low/Medium/High)
I can't decide whether Thom's guide is right or not. My D800E can be pressed 11 times (not 10) and the 9th press (not the 8th) takes it to the same magnification as 'Medium' on the multi selector.
The question is - which level is actually 100%? Is it 8 presses or 9 presses? And is it 'Medium' or 'High' (in menu f2)?
FOR REFERENCE
Books:
Thom's guide says: Low = 50% / Medium = 100% / High = 200% Darrell Young's book (apparently) says: Low = 100% / Medium = 200%
On my D800E:
7 presses of the 'zoom in' button = Low on f2 9 presses of the 'zoom in' button = Medium on f2 10 presses of the 'zoom in' button = High on f2
