Here's something other than autofocus problems as a topic...

Has anyone created custom picture controls for the D800 and saved them so that others could download and use them? This was done on the D700 forum and I was able to get a "Velvia" PC that worked great with that body. Also, the Nikon site had downloadable PC's that worked well, also. I'd like the same thing for my new D800.

You should be able to save a custom picture control from one model and load it onto a different model. There are save and load capabilities in the Manage Picture Control menu item (pp. 172-3 of the English D800 manual). I moved a couple of custom picture controls from my D300 to my D800e.

That is just what I wanted to hear. I suspect that the D700 custom PC's that I have been using were originally created for a D300. The save and load capabilities should be very similar between the D700 and D800. Thanks!
