I am wondering if I am asking too much from the D800E.

This is my 4th one and this is what I get after spending ~3 hours testing it when it arrived.

Is this as good as it gets ?

Are you getting the same result with other lenses? Are these 100% crops?

I suspect this is a lens issue. The odds of having four separate bodies with the same issue is relatively low. It is possible the cameras were all produced before Nikon's corrective action. But given that the right side is off too, I would guess that this is a lens problem.
