"D800 Survey"

Atlanta, US

Have many of you all received a survey request from Nikon? I just did a survey for Nikon that asked a if a smaller Nef would be used... Maybe an update...

I received and participated in the survey. My copy was pretty strange. It seemed to ask me the same questions at several points with the lists in a different order. It took forever to finish.

Larry, that's a pretty standard way of ensuring that the answers are correct and not misunderstood or answered too quickly without reading. I started the survey and got discouraged with it and quit. If they ever decide to pay me for my time, I might finish it.

Actually, for me it was very clearly a bug in the software.

It wasn't that it was asking the same question in different ways to check validity, it was that the survey would randomly take you back a few questions.

Or sometimes, the question would be one that had already been asked, but the potential responses were for an unrelated question (like when the question asked about camera features, but the potential responses were for a question about what type of shooting you do).

or sometimes the question and answers would be in sync, but didn't make any sense. For example, how important something was for your decision on purchasing a D800, the range was from good to bad. So do they mean did the D800 implement it well, or was it important to me, or was it a strong influence in my purchasing decision

Overall, it was quite possibly the worst survey I have ever seen

Smaller NEF's would be nice. I believe Canon offers it?

I took the survey. It was kind of useless in some areas. I had a few questions on mine where you only had two options to choose from satisfactory or unsatisfactory. Well how about an option for I don't use that function. How can I rate a function I don't use?

Yes there were a number of duplicates or reworded questions, and it did take a while to do. But when they asked about smaller NEFs I sat up. And they offer a space where you can type in your opinion and your wish list. The program crashed three times but I made certain my smaller NEF request went through.

I tried to fill it out, but it was full of glitches like already stated and it would crash. I gave up.

The survey seemed, dare I say it, a bit out of focus!

I participated in the survey. Naturally, I hit hard the focus issue.
