"Nikon 1 32/1.2 and 7-13/3.5-5.6 coming"

Hi,

I read this on a Dutch site, so posting the link here seems pretty useless.
It is more than a rumour, Nikon added some patents which imply this.

Oh, the most you can get out of a Nikon 1 is a diafragm of 0.7, but I think that will do.

If true, the 32 takes care of the fast-85 equivalent (albeit a bit short). But the 7-13 being that slow seems more like a gap filler. Really need a fast 6 or 7mm - and no, boosting the ISO doesn't count, before anyone adds that rejoinder.

I fully agree.

32/1.2 IS a nice addition.

And YES I would like a substitude for my 14-24/2.8 that I used on my D3X, it was my 2nd most used lens.

6 mm/2.8 prime would do ..., but that seems to be a long way now.

Will have to live with the offers of Nikon.

Thanks for posting this. Unfortunately, there are any number of Nikon patents out there which have not led to an actual lens release. Not yet, anyway, so we liuve in hope...!

I cannot believe that Nikon would NOT do its very best to bring ou thse lenses.

The nikon 1 market is surprisingly good (I think), but many are complaing about the lack of SOME lensen, like the lenses I mentioned.

Yes live in hope, but also in confidence: Nikon won't let us down.

The following lens listed last September were supposed to be released "soon".

The Future Lenses?

Sept 23 (commentary)--Since Nikon's ultimate product seems to follow closely the patents they've been filing, we can make some guesses at future Nikon 1 lenses:

14mm f/2.8 (35mm equivalent)
18mm f/1.4 (50mm equivalent)
32mm f/1.2 (85mm equivalent)
40mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor (105mm equivalent)
60mm f/3.5 Micro-Nikkor (162mm equivalent)
7-13mm f/3.5-5.6 (20-35mm equivalent)
9-43mm f/2.8-5.6 (24-120mm equivalent)

and here is a picture of prototypes already made back then:

Man, I want one of those 32mm f/1.2 lenses. Sounds perfect to me (for some apps).
