"Good article about using the V1 for a book project"

This was a guest post on NikonRumors. It's a good perspective on the quality and value of the V1.

Thanks Eric. Those were some really nice B&W photos. Do I understand correctly that he's shooting in AF-A mode and AF-A? I'm still investigating my new V1 and have a lot to learn yet.

BTW, I don't see the focus point displayed in View NX2 when I use AF-S. Is this normal, or something I just haven't figured out yet? Thanks.

Rich

Edit - What I was trying to say was AF-A (Automatic Autofocus), and Auto Area AF. I wish Nikon had a better descriptive nomenclature sometimes - this is one of those times.

OK, I figured out the lack of Focus Point in View NX2. I hadn't updated to V2.6. Once I did that, everything seemed to work fine. Doh!

I saw that, too. And that is one talented photographer who used a good tool (V1) for the situation.
