"Annoying hotshoe cover sorted!" Sat 17-Nov-12 11:31 AM by richardd300

I know this isn't the invention of the 21st Century, but one thing I find frustrating is the V1 hot shoe cover, or rather loosing it! Unlike a dSLR the cover can be secured as it's very close to the strap links.
Just cut some ultra thin beading string, drill a 1mm hole in the centre rear of the cover, tie a knot so it doesn't slip out. Then secure the other end to the strap link.
A very annoying problem solved and as they cost £4 ($6) each + p&p which in most cases is another £4 a cheap remedy. The piece of string bead cord cost 20p a metre. Now, time to sort out the tiny lens cap
