The new "Nikon 1" camera range has an optional adapter to allow the mounting of F-mount Nikkors. The adapter will enable VR if present, and autofocus with AF-S lenses. Not all "G" lenses are AF-S though, so without knowing which lenses you have we can say no more.

Yes - but - the adapter to Nikon F mount is not one of the items available when the product is launched on or about 20th October.

Photography is a bit like archery. A technically better camera, lens or arrow may not hit the target as often as it could if the photographer or archer does not practice enough.

Even allowing for that "but", the answer is not a simple "yes".

As pointed out above, with the FT-1 adapter on a V1 or J1, AF is not possible with "screwdriver" F-mount lenses. There have been a few (not many) G-type Nikkors with screwdriver AF.

A common lense for many:
AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G

Or the less common:
AF DX Fisheye-Nikkor 10.5mm f/2.8G ED

Thanks for all the feedback. I have teh AF-S Nikkor 16-85 1:3.5/5.6G ED and AF-S Nikkor 70-300mm 1:4.5/5.6 G ED as well as the 18-105 kit lens
