All of my other Nikons are able to bracket at least 5 shots not disapointed but wondering would be posible settings for this or does any one have Nikons ear that a future firmware up date could be included to enable 5-shot brackets

Hi Jeffrey, the D7000 can bracket 3 shots. I don't know if a future firmware update will change that. Otherwise, you have to use manual exposure, or exposure compensation and do it manually. I'd like 5 shot bracketing, for HDR, but can live with it at 3, since I knew it was that before I bought it.

I've heard of people using the U1 and U2 to take up to 6 brackets. Set U1, say for -5, -3 and -1, U2 for +1, +3 and +5.

I've never tried this........ yet.

This was the only drawback that I saw when I got mine. I suggested a 5 shot bracket as a future firmware update at the Nikon website (http://support.nikonusa.com/app/ask in the USA). They responded:

"Dear Carlos: Thank you for your suggestion. We are not aware if there will be a firmware update to include the features you suggested. However, we are glad to forward your suggestions to the proper department for their information."

My suggestion is, that if this is a feature you'd like to see, go ahead and suggest it on the website. I personally would love 5 or 7 more bracketed shots.

Do you think if enough people hit the web site Nikon may include 5-7 brack on a firm ware up-date in future?

I'm hoping so. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
