"D7000 Dynamic Focus"

Hello,
I am a new 7000 owner and have a question. When I'm in AF-C mode with any of the dynamic focus areas selected I use a focus point and lock in by pressing the shutter half way. However is the subject moves should I see the focus point in the viewfinder move also? Or does the lens continue to focus while the original focus point remains in the same original position? Thanks for your help.

When using AF-C with Dynamic-area AF, you always have to select the AF point - and try to keep it on the subject if you can.

If the subject leaves that AF point briefly, the camera will use the surrounding points (9, 21, or 39) to try to maintain focus on it. In the viewfinder, all you see is the single point you selected.
