A few are about - I handled one briefly this afternoon at Wilkinson's Splash Trade show near Preston. The card door was firmly sealed by Nikon - so no opportunity to take pictures I would describe it as a D90 on steroids - similar size and body weight, seemingly better viewfinder and better AF. I am hoping to be allowed to put a card in one at a Nikon Road Show on 26th October.
Photography is a bit like archery. A technically better camera, lens or arrow may not hit the target as often as it could if the photographer or archer does not practice enough.
Thanks for the pre-pre-review. What aspects of the AF seemed better? I don't care about number of points but I do care about the general speed and lock on characteristics of the dynamic modes. Currently, with a d90, I use only the center point because most of my shots are in darkness and that one is the only cross polarized FP so it works pretty good in both C and S modes. The outer points aren't as quick in low light. Stan St Petersburg Russia
