I just purchased a D7000, and I already have a D100, D40, D300, D700 plus all the lens I have. Am I totally nuts??

Then, I had to have it right now, so add express shipping...... I have gone nuts for sure, but I just love it!!!

Yes, your have lost your mind! But you are closer to winning than I am! This is a race, right?

Why Yes it is!

See, I told you so!

Wait is that me having this conversation with myself? Did I just say all that out loud?

Enjoy and let me know if I need a D7000. Looking for a better High ISO body for indoor sports (basketball, volley ball, etc).

I will and thank you!

Wait did I just do it again?

Shoot, shoot and shoot some more!

Another idea: trade your 5 bodies for one D3s.

Tom I just went through your Gallery, and you have some really great shots in there. Are you shooting a D3s, and what lens are you using?

I took part of your suggestion, and I am going down to two bodies, D700 and D7000. I am going to find it hard to part with my D300 though....

I kept my D300 (and 700). My D300 is serving as my 70-200 camera (with and without TCs) while my D7000 handles the long lenses at smaller apertures. I already like my D300 more than ever now that it does not have to do the really heavy lifting at f8 and smaller apertures. Shooting the 70-200 from f2.8-f7.1 gives the D300 sensor plenty of light in most situations.

My latest plan is when the D400 comes out, I will IR-convert the D300 rather than sell it off.

For the record, I go to my local The Camera Store website and stare and gawk at the D3S pretty much every single day

Did you ask about planes? Cheyenne II and my AirShow airplane an Extra 300L.

Thanks to all for the funny comments, and yes I am nuts.

I have the same problem with bicycles (my first passion) - 2 road bikes, 3 mountain bikes and always looking for the next one.

Just getting back into photography and I'm trying not to end up in the same boat, but it's not easy...

I guess as long as the wife doesn't know how much I REALLY spend, I'll be ok.

OK, this is the last one before they throw me off my favored web-site. At the sake of sounding pompous, I’ve only got one boat, but you couldn’t store it in the back yard. cv

Hmmm... boat, two airplanes, motorcycle, road bikes, mountain bikes, cameras...

I'm slightly envious that you have all this stuff, and more envious that you have the time to use it all!

Well, at 67 I am retired (but still living large) from my company, and that helps. I still fly AirShows and pull 8 to 9 G's, and after I fly, I pick up my camera gear and start shooting. Photography is something that I have grown to appreciate greatly, for it's you, the camera, and hoping that you can capture what you see in a way that others will see the same. As for attempting to get there, nikonians.org members are the most supportive and giving of their talent, and I am most appreciative of what I get, and only hope that I can give something back.

I live in South Louisiana and if any member happens to be going to an AirShow that I am at or any other area and would like to get in close, send me a message.

Thanks,

Chuck

I think you could be my NEW long lost best friend! You Sir ROCK!!!!

I will give up on the race thing now! I will never be in the same league! That's okay with me, I will still give it a heck of a try!!!!

If you ever in Michigan for an Air Show I would love to meet you. As an Ex-Air Force photog I have a fascination with things that fly .... faster the better. I am also a Mustang (Ford) guy and would to try my studio lights at night with my Mustang and a really cool plane!

I would just about do anything to do that with a P-51! But any cool plane would be a bonus!

Happy Shooting!

Shoot, shoot and shoot some more!

I've always been rather restrained about buying new cameras, but yesterday I put in an order for the Nikon Coolpix P7000 (as a take anywhere camera), and a Panasonic G2 micro 4/3rds to replace my G1. And I've only recently felt comfortable with my 2-month-old D7000! This photography passion can turn your mind!
