"A week down the track with the D7000."

Ocean Grove, AU

Hullo, I have now had about 5 days to evaluate my new D7000 with the 18/200mm Nikkor VR.

All I can say is...terribly impressed. The ease of use, speed of focussing, pleasurable feel, have won me over completely.

I cannot claim to have mastered the handbook as yet, but am getting there slowly. Having a Nikon background, the camera feels so familiar but special.

Have not yet delved into the video function...that's my next treat. I need to add almost nothing, it's a complete package, but will probably add a long 'birding' lens later. Am looking at the Sigma 150-500OS. A very nice and affordable lens too.

Ron

I agree Ron. Great camera, should be a classic.

I am still making a lot of mistakes with it but am getting there. I still don't have a solid understanding of u1/2 so in the heat of the moment I do the wrong thing. The more we shoot the better it should get!

Best regards, SteveK
