"White Balance problem"

Rambouillet, FR

I hadn't used my Expodisc in a few months and pulled it out today. Set my D7000 to manual mode, pushed the WB button on the back and rotated the command dial to PRE and d-0, released the WB button, then held the WB button and waited for the PRE to start flashing....and nothing happens.

I've trie other shooting modes like A and S and P, same results, no flashing PRE. Everything on my camera seems to working just fine otherwise and this has never happened before. Any ideas about what I am doing wrong?

At a quick glance at page 123 of the D7000 manual, and from what my at-hand D700 does, you seem to be doing it right.

The only thing that comes to mind is to make sure you are not resting your finger on the shutter release while doing this.

Problem solved. I tried to remember what adjustments I might have made since I last used the expodisc. As far as I could remember the only difference was programming the AE/AF lock button to AF ON. I turned that off and the WB PRE worked again.
