I purchased a 15 feet mini-HDMI - HDMI cable to connect my camera with my Sony KDL-32D3000. I had hoped that I would be able to see the live preview on my television instead of on the 3" camera screen. It does not seem like this is going to happen, and besides, the connectivity is very unstable other than that.

I have tried all the different HDMI settings on the camera, but without much luck. I don't have the AV - minijack cable that came with the camera, and I am not sure whether or not this would have done the trick.

Have anyone else tried something similar? I have googled the subject, and it seems like the live preview on an external monitor via AV or HDMI was possible with the D90.
