Thanks Pete.

I'm afraid there's too many compromises, to be honest - which I attempted to hide via some post-processing tricks. I just got my new macro lens (actually, a pre-1975 non-AI lens that I had converted to AI by John White) and am trying to learn a bit about how to use it.

Well I entered several of those challenges and only made the finals once, so perhaps I shouldn't suggest.

But to me the only drawbacks is the hotspot just above the knurl-knob and the white speck on the wood to the right.

Still think it's a great image!
