I was already to purchase a D7000, and am having second thoughts. After reading the blogs about Focus and sharpness issues. Should I get the D7000 or wait. I currently have a D80 and get good results, should I wait a while and see what happens. I am a not a professional!!! Need some advise

Blogs and threads about focus and sharpness issues show up every time Nikon releases a camera. While some people get a genuinely defective camera (rare), it is my impression that overwhelmingly people misinterpret their results as camera error when in fact they have not learned how to adapt their technique to get the best out of the camera.

If you want a camera you can pretty much point and shoot after using a D80, get a D90 If you want a better camera with a lot more controls and are willing to do a lot of research and to practice your skills, get a D7000
If I were you, I would get the D7000 with a 30 day money back guarantee. Then if it proved too much camera for your use, take it back.
