"EN-EL15 Recharging Options"

US

Hi,
I just ordered a D7100, but I'm probably keeping my D3200 body (at least for awhile). Does Nikon or a third-party offer a battery recharger that can handle both the EN-EL15 and EN-EL14 or am I just stuck with having to pack both rechargers?

No combo chargers exist for Nikon batteries. Good idea though. Fuji has done it for a couple of its smaller batteries.

There are some aftermarket battery chargers that work for both batteries, but the only one for which I found a review was negative. I suggest sticking with the original chargers.

Hi Brian,
Please see:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/765864-REG/Pearstone_DLCNIENEL14_Duo_Battery_Charger_for.html/BI/4775/KBID/5289/

I have two of these chargers, plus several of their "plates" for different batteries (Nikon and Sony).

I have one which always has the plates for EN-EL15 batteries installed - and use it exclusively. For travelling, I often have two different plates on one charger. Both of my Pearstone chargers have served me perfectly.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the link, Pete.

Howard, you're very welcome.

As well as Nikon DSLRs which use EN-EL15s, I have a 1V2 - that uses the pesky little EN-EL21 batteries - and am eagerly hoping to see a plate for those batteries one day...

another solution might be battery grips, then you just have to worry about the price of Duracells going up
