"D7000 Auto Distortion Control"

Cairo, EG

I was wondering whether to use this feature in the camera, or do it in Capture NX2 as I used to do.
Did anyone try this in camera? is it exactly the same as Capture NX2 or not ? and could this slow the processing a bit (Like NR) or has no effect on the performance ?!

Thanks

My understanding is that the function in camera just deals with CA issues, and I'm guessing just for Nikon lenses. The corrections you get in NX2 will likewise only auto correct for Nikon lenses, but for many other "flaws" in the lens. Adobe lightroom will auto correct for some Nikon lenses, and some other brand lenses as well. Personally, I keep the function on in the D7000, and also use correction in the software, but I've only had the camera for a few days. If anyone has any other insights about this, please let us know!

I turned it off in the camera as I read in the manual that it may slow the processing of the photo, so I will do it in software instead.
