First day out with the D7100.Please give thoughts on what adjustments you would apply. Seems a bit strange you need to shrink a file so much just to get it to upload...thanks,Kerry

If that is out-of-camera, it is a WOW to you and the D7100! White on the back is a bit hot on my monitor, No advise from me.
an old duffer with the time to have fun,Jim
Color is superb! Agree on some burnout of the white on the bird's back. I would see if I could bring back some detail by some highlight suppression. The moss, or whatever, on the tree is a bit distracting, as I would love to see this somewhat more monochromatic (except the tiny red accent). Wish I took it! Keep it up.WalterNever criticize a man until you walk a mile in his shoes. Then you'll be a mile away and have his shoes!
Nice shot! While the white on the back appears blown out -- might be fixable -- good job with the feathers on the front. The one thing I would change is to crop out the large branch on the left and some off the top so that the bird is no longer in the center.---------+---------+---------+---------+---------+Joseph KSeattle, WA, USAD700, D200, D70S, 24-70mm f/2.8, VR 70-200mm f/2.8 II, 50mm f/1.4 D, 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR, 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 DX
