"D7100 - quite sharp. . . and Nice DR!"

The D7100 with it's anti-alias-free sensor does an excellent job of resolving the image.
I wanted to see a real- world example . . . not an in-studio test of how this camera would perform with a prosumer lens. I chose one of my favorites, the 55-300VR (cant get more prosumer than that!) This is Large, Fine JPEG. In addition to excellent detail, the DR is pretty nice as well.

In addition to the detail, I like the tonal gradations in the snow, and in the black metal chair... I hadn't seen this quite as well before the D7000, and now the D7100 seems to be cut from the same cloth.

Nice texture and sharp. I like the view finder seems brighter and bigger. The auto focus is quite good and seems faster than my Nikon D 600. I sent mine back because of dust and maybe grease on the sensor. I hated to send it back because I liked it a lot. It just too bad that Nikon can't make clean cameras. This the second one that i got now. A D 600 and a D 7100.

Use a tripod, the self-timer and get out there!

Seriously, what a great camera!
