"Using my Mobile Phone to Control my D7000"

Beverly Hills, AU

Hi Nikonians,
I had a very interesting delivery today, I had stumbled across a few Android Apps that stated that they could control the D7000 like a shutter release.

The one problem I had was finding a cable to connect the mobile to the camera, information was in short supply.

Earlier in the week I found the Triggertrap advertised as available through Amazon, great except Amazon does supply to Australia (why we are loveable?).

Fortunately there is the option of purchasing and having the manufacturer supply directly from Hong Kong.

It arrived tonight and works like a dream, with about nine different methods to try.

It controls focus, shutter, exposure and duration, bracketing, timelapse to name a few.

I am tempted to head outside in the dark now, as the illumination from the mobile will let me see the controls in the dark.

I am looking forward to some long exposure photography sessions tomorrow.
