I'd be curious to know whether there's any difference between this and the Neewer (Meike), Zeikos, and Bower ones on Amazon.

The Meike gets decent reviews elsewhere on the web and for $40 you could replace it six times for the cost of an MDB-11 (which hasn't received much better reviews).
