Boy, that's good resolution. The constant autofocus works well. That 70-200 VRI is a really wonderful lens. I know because I own one, too. Got to get me one of them D7000s!
Thank you for sharing this clip.

That noise floor in the audio signal is really high... Anything that might explain why it is so loud, or just the basic sound of the camera..

How embarrassing. I only played on my pod so I didn't listen. Noise yes, that would be the pool pump, beside which I was standing. ... So you guys hear me talking to air pets?

We heard it all
But extremely glad that the sound was ambient, not camera noise!
Phew!!

Thanks for the edit, very positive rendering.

The contrast changed as you panned left near the end, is that similar to the D3S's contrast foucs (quasi-auto) and works in tandem with the actual chipset AF, does anyone know?

Thanks,

Rob.

Excellent David, I really enjoyed seeing. Never thought I'd say this after owning a D90 for 2 years and never, no not once, took a video with it. Very sharp and good rendering. I may have to reconsider on board Video.

ROOTC. Straight to Vimeo. I don't know if they do any processing of the raw video. It looks pretty much the same. There's a 2 minute clip of the girls shared on google docs here. It's the raw .mov file. It's big. 350 MB. Nothing spectular but if you want some D7000 raw video to fool with. AFS 70-200 at f2.8, ISO 2000. Dusk.

Same link, never mind. Sorry, I'm too stupid to link the docs.
