"PNY sd card?"

Oklahoma City, US

Anyone use the PNY sd cards? How do they compare to San Disk, etc?

I used them in my D40X - 4GB PNY Optima class 4 cards. My son is now using them in the same camera and they are working OK.

The only card that I ever had fail on me was a PNY card - the case came apart at the seams. Luckily, I was able to get the card out of the camera and retrieve the data through a USB reader, but I have not bought another PNY card, and probably won't (especially since the local source for them is Best Buy - they wouldn't even talk to me about replacing the defective card - I am no longer a Best Buy customer.)

I have a few 8GB, class 10 cards I've been using in a D7000 since November and haven't had a problem yet. Currently approaching 8,000 shutter acutations.

I have an 8GB class 10 PNY that I used successfully with the D7000. I also read somewhere (PopPhoto) that PNY sometimes distributes cards that other manufacterers have rejected.

So I went and got some high-end 8GB Sandisks...
