"Nik Color Efex Pro 4"

I went to use the plug-in this evening and noticed several filters, most noticeably Detail Extractor, are missing. I know they have been there in the past as I have used them though it may have been in Win 7. I'm now running Win 8.

I checked my license and I have the complete set.

I reinstalled them and still no joy.

Any ideas?

Strange. Your screen shot is showing the Select Edition, which has only 26 filters and Detail Extractor is not one of them.

Bob, did you ever figure out the problem?

On the surface it sure appears that your software in the Select Edition, not the Complete Edition.

Good luck

Mike

I wrote them yesterday. I don't see where to see which edition this is, or do you just know because of the number of filters? My license definitely says complete and I downloaded using the button that says complete on the download page, though this may be determined by the license and not the download.

I will look again at my CEP4 this evening to see if I see any clues.

Stay tuned.

Bob, the list of filters shown on your screen shot are the filters for the Select Edition. I checked all of them.

I have been perusing the preferences page to see if there is a check box that one has to click to see all of the Complete Edition filters. No such animal.

This is a head scratcher.

I will keep looking and post if I see something useful

I have an idea.

Go into Settings > Filterlist Settings, then click on the little arrow that points to the left to reset the list to factory defaults. Just thinking out loud.

Thanks for hanging with me on this Mike. I had two licenses; one for select and one for complete. Don't ask me how. I had put the select license in. For whatever reason the program wouldn't allow me to put the complete license in over the top of it. Per Nik, I uninstalled completely and reinstalled with the correct license. Everything works as it should.

Good deal!

Nik filters are really good. Let us hope that Google does not screw them up.
