I use the intuos5-medium size. It gives you finer control than a mouse when making selections and using a brush. It works as advertised.

I have the Bamboo Capture ( Wacom). it does give much better
control than a mouse, but it has quite a "learning
curve" to get a feel for the placement of the stylus and
the correct pressure to apply. It can be quite frustrating
until you get the hang of it.
This tablet is available for about $70 ( American).

Thank you guys for your info. I plan to use this w/CS6 and the NIK software. From what i read I should be able with a fine point pen, be able to trace around something in the picture.

Does anyone use this with Windows 8?

Nope, Mac..
It does take a little bit getting used to, but I love my Intuous5-Medium.
Works great with Photoshop plus you have additional shortcuts via multiple buttons on the pen and tablet.

Thank you all. I think I am going to take the plunge. I have heard that the pen takes some getting used too.

I have an older Wacom Intuous 3 but find it extremely useful with brushes, selections and the like. Once you get used to it, even with its basic capabilities, you will never be without one again.

I used to use the Intuos 3 but recently got the Intuos5 medium - easy to get used to and the pen feels good in my hand. Hardly use a mouse at all in either Photoshop or Lightroom now.

It ain't so much the things we don't know that get us in trouble. It's the things we know that just ain't so.

Why is this thus? What is the reason of this thusness?
