"PSE9 Soft Proofing plug-in's"

Ortonville, US

Hello to all !!!

I’m trying to move from a newbie Nikon Capture NX2 user to a newbie Photoshop Elements 9 user. I have really struggled this past year with my Epson R1800 printer. I think that I have solved my printer issues, but have not personally validated, "me" using the X-Rite i1Display pro calibration tool.

It seems that I get better prints when using Photoshop Elements 9 vs my beloved Nikon NX2. Over this past weekend, I was looking for the “soft proofing” tool in Photoshop Elements 9 and found that I needed to purchase a soft proof plug-in.

It looks like Adobe sells hundreds of plug-ins and third party plug-ins application are in the tens of thousands.

1). Is the Adobe’s PSE9 “soft proofing” tool a good choices or should I be looking at a third party plug-in tool?

2). What other "Adobe Plug-in's should I also consider for PSE9?

Thanks!!!
