"Training Elements 9"

Ortonville, US

I’ve take a few Nikonian workshop weekends from the Nikonian staff and every subject was an outstanding learning experience !!!
I’m retired and want to pick up my learning curve on some of the more common software and plugins.
It does not look like Nikonian classes will be passing through Michigan this year, so I’ve been looking fon the net for private tudoring or something else on the internet and found WysAnt.com. It may be a racked, but I’m going to try it and see want happens
So..Are there other was to get good Abobe Elements 9 training? Is there other modes of local training in Elements 9 /photoshop ?

Have you considered lynda.com? Kelbytraining.cm also has a great reputation.

I am a fan of the lynda.com tutorials.
I highly recommend the Elements tutorials from lynda.com by Jan Kabili.

I am currently taking an on-line course for PSE10. These classes are ED2GO and are offered through the local community college continuing ed department. They are Internet classes and are quite reasonably priced.

Photoshop Elements Techniques is a great bimonthly magazine that I've been happy with. The current subscription special comes with the hard-copy magazine, a DVD called Learn Elements Today, 6 bonus issues (previous issues), and access to more than a thousand tutorials and videos on their website. A two-year subscription offers a second DVD titled Photo Essentials 4.

The May/June issue includes these topics:

Vintage Color - By Liz Ness
Light Portraits Like a Pro - Derrick Story (not an Elements article)
Selections Made Simple - Matt Kloskowski
Decoding the Color Picker - Elizabeth LePage
Seeking Shadows - Diana Day
Set Text on the Right Path - Mike Rodriguez and Kelly Turner

Note that some articles, such as the Set Text article, are version 10 specific, but most are applicable to version 9 (which I also use).
