I can't wait to take it on a spin. I am sure that Adobe will fix the speed issues along with the issues with Nik filters.

Personally I haven't seen speed issues so you may be fine, too. The good thing with the Nik situation is that Adobe acknowledges it. That means it'll probably be fixed whereas otherwise it probably never would. They have memory bugs in photoshop that affect plugins that look like they'll never be fixed. Been over a year, too.

Based on my delivery date, it looks like a 4.1 update will come out before I receive the order.

I always buy the boxed copy. I prefer it personally. Old school I guess. Also, if I ever sold the software, it is easier with the box version.

I wouldn't have the patience to wait for it

I download all the time now - in fact I find the box/cd/printed-key a nuisance -- I never lose the emailed keys, all such email gets filed in my "personal" folder for ever-after!!

No need to wait for it. You can order the box and download the trial software. Your license and CD will arrive long before the trial ends.

I skipped 4.0 but now have 4.1RC installed. It's running great and converted my catalogs without issue. Very responsive and PV2012 is pretty amazing really.
