"How to afford Creative Cloud?"

NL

Just a tip for those who have children still living at home:

Back in the day when Adobe actually sold the right to use software (rather than merely renting it out), anyone in an accredited educational institution qualified for student pricing. That was anybody K-12 and college/university.

So what you could do if you had a kid in school is buy the software in the child's name, provide proof that the child was in school, and get the software for the educational rate.

I wonder if this will work with the Cloud as well? Surely it would be worth trying out.

Their web site is both confusing and changing, but it does not appear that there is any educational pricing now.

I know websites look different if viewed from different locations, but according to this page there IS educational pricing.

Could someone from the US view this page and tell me if it shows the link on the right side of the page to Student and Teacher pricing?

Yes, there is a link to student/teacher pricing. The fee on the linked-to page is $19.99 per month for the entire CC, but that is a special price. It will go up to $29.99 after June 25.

Photoshop by itself will not have student/teacher pricing, I don't believe.

Here's another pricing page:

According to the asterisk next to the Student/Teacher pricing information given on this page, if you sign up for the cloud as a student or teacher before June 25th you get the $19.99 price, but that price is locked in for a year.

Yeah, that's the same price as for all the rest of us. That's why I said that there "isn't any," since the situation would be the same if there were no "student/teacher" involved...

The way I understand it is: if you're upgrading from a purchased version of CS, it's $29.99 for the next year (providing you sign up by the deadline) and then we'll see what it is after that.

If you're a student or teacher, it's $19.99 for the next year (providing you sign up by the deadline) and then we'll see what it is after that.

That's $10 a month, right? Or am I still missing something?

That's the pricing we all get. A year with the $10/mo discount.
