This may not be the place for this, so I will apologize in advance.

I purchased a very expensive Nikon lens from BB in June and I'm still trying to resolve an issue, but no one from Berger Bros will reurn my phone call or emails.... I called BB about 2 weeks after I received my lens and discussed the problem with someone who said they would call me back... never did. I then sent the following email on July 8 and I have never heard back.

Hello....

On June 4, 2009 I ordered a Nikon 17-35mm Lens (SN 291875) on line. Someone from Berger Bros. called me to tell me they only had 1 and it was a showroom copy and asked if I was OK with that. I told them I was as long as the lens had never left the store and the order was complete. Order # 52985

When I got the lens I noticed that I was missing 2 items. (1) the strap for the camera case and more importantly, (2) the "original (white) product warranty. I am concerned about this as it is required if I have to send the lens in for warranty work and it looks as if I may have to do that. The lens is making a very high pitched squeal when it initially focuses. It's not all the time, but I fear it will get worse.

I spoke with someone about a week after I received the lens and asked for these two missing items. I was told that someone would get back to me. No one has, therefore the email.

Please help me resolve this issue. This was an expensive lens and I want to make sure I have proper coverage.

Currently the lens is at Nikon for repair and I'm hoping that the sales receipt will be enough verification that this is a legally purchased 2 month old lens and they will honor my warranty. If this forum is moderated by Berger Bros., perhaps they can get someone to contact me.

I just brought this to Brad Berger's attention. We are not sure why this issue fell through the cracks but he will definately call you today to correct the problem. Ken

Brad Berger himself called me this evening to make sure I was taken care of. He is going to contact Nikon on my behalf to make sure my lens is repaired properly and under warranty. I am not that concerned about the lens case strap, but he was insistent that he would send that along as well. He and Ken have assured me that my case is unusual and it slipped through the cracks... it happens. This is way beyond professional... it's personal and because of that, I will toot Berger Bros. horn from here on out.....
