I have a Nikon D300S at the present time. I shoot sports (night football games and daytime baseball games). I also do landscape and Macro photography.

My lenses consist of:
Nikon 70-200VRII, Nikon 24-70mm 2.8 and Sigma 11-16mm 2.8 wide angle.

I am looking to upgrade my camera to either the D600 or D800. I will keep the D300S as a backup. What camera would be better for sports and all around? I read that the D600 has a slow AF and does not lock in very easily, which would present a problem when shooting sports.

Your input would be appreciated.
