DO YOU KNOW IS THERE IS A WATERPROOF BAG FOR THE D300 WITH THE 18-200 LENSE........OR SHOULD I GET A LESSER LENGTH LENSE.

Two things:
1. Are you looking for bag you can take the camera underwater with? Or just a waterproof carrying bag?
2. Regarding the lens... does it have to be Nikon?

LOOKING FOR A BAG FOR THE CAMERA TO GO INTO THE WATER WITH......NO DEEPER THAN TEN FEET.....TO BE USED ON A KAYAK...PRIMARILY JUST WANT TO PROTECT THE CAMERA FROM WATER AND ACCIDENTS IF I SWAMP THE BOAT.

AS FAR AS A LENSE, NIKON WOULD BE NICE, BUT NOT NECESSARY IF I CAN STILL GET GOOD PICS....

Hi Greg-

We have an Aquapac #455. It will fit your D300 with 18-200 attached and is submersible to 15 feet. You can operate the buttons as normal through the case. Here is the link to it on the Berger Bros. site: <http://www.berger-bros.com/page/BBCVD/PROD/AQUA455>;

I should add that you might have to put the lens in first and then the body and attach them inside the bag. I tested it with a camera and 18-200 lens here in the store and it works but not wanting to remove the stiff card board packaging used to hang the Aquapac on a display rack, I had to turn the D300 side ways to get it in. I think without the packaging the camera will fit with the lens already attached.
