I've been feinding for an SLR for a while now and finally thought I'd spoil myslef this xmas and got a D3000 with the 55-200 lense and bag combo. So far the camera is great. Being new to SLR's I'm starting the learning curve. lights and speeds and whatnot.

But, here is my real question. Since I put this much on my card already, would having the ability to take video and have a view screen make me love it more? Should i just upgrade to the d5000 before my 14 day return policy is up?

I know i can read online what the difference are between the cameras, and im going to go play with a d5000 in the store tomorrow. But I thought I'd ask here, and see if any of you had any feelings one way or the other...things that since I'm a newbie I may not understand.

thanks in advance....

I'll try and attache one of my first few photos....i do love the clearity
