IR images problem.
I like IR images.so i bought hoya r72 however I get a red images no matter what adjustment i get..unlike with the canon dslr my friend have. we used the same settings to take the same scene however my reddish images needs to be adjusted more in lightroom unlike the canon image.which could be modified directly with photoshop to get the IR image result. our camera are not IR modified just normal shooting with longer exposure.
this is taken with d5000
this is with canon i forgot the model though

You cannot compare settings from different manufacture cameras with IR photography for the sensor designs will react very differently to the IR spectrum.
I do not shoot IR but on another forum I participate in there is a person that shoots a lot of IR. He has some really good info on the issue you described here as well as PP advice.
Hope this helps.
