"Post your D3200/d3100/D3000 pics!"
Mon 03-Sep-12 01:02 AM by jesse101

I was recently browsing some pics on flickr and i noticed some photos that were taken with these three camera bodies and i was blown away! when i was first looking for a DSLR, i had no clue how capable they were till i was able to test it out on my own. but i was wondering how many of you were as impressed or not impressed? also, i would like to see some of your best shots taken with such gear..be nice to try and pile it all in one area so people who may be interested, can potentially see its capabilities. i will post links to some of my photos (which i know could have been better) that so far have been close to my best, and i would like to see yours as well!

Jesse

You are right. The D3000 and D5000 series cameras are excellent. A you may know, the D3200 has the best sensor that Nikon has ever put in a DX camera, and the
D5100 isn't very far behind. I just bought a D5100 to keep my D3200 company.

Phil

I not only like your gallery, but as I have said before, I am very impressed with how you have documented your family chronology.

Good point! Its funny cause when i was at best buy just looking at some speedlights, their camera rep came over and started explaining their lineup, i for one really like the D7000, something i have been eyeing for a bit. He went on explaining why he wanted which model and so on, we exchanged pics and he had no idea on the 3100 capabilities...i even asked him info on the new t4i. We took test shots of each, they even had a SB910 on display (which was awesome), each camera took awesome shots, we had a geek out session for sure lol

But yea, i honestly do not think people know what most entry level DSLR can really do, im amazed none the less.

i was going to post these under a different heading, but seeing your request i will put them here.

i live about 3 minutes drive from bourne woods, farnham, surrey, uk. where they shoot many movies, these images are from the new film "Thor The Dark World"

the set is pretty basic compared to others i have seen there such as robin hood & The Golden Compass.

they were shot with a D3200 & Tamron 18-270 f3.5-6.3 VC PZD lens.

In July we were in Big Sky Montana and Yellowstone National Park. I was very happy to be carrying the light weight D3100 after a few miles on the trails I hiked.

I got more than a thousand photos - a lot of good wildlife shots - which I've been sorting through and organizing. I have a few in my gallery here. This is one of the big horn sheep I got in the Gallatin National Forest / Big Sky MT.
