The videos I have looked at are fitting somewhat smaller camera/lens combinations into this bag. Has anyone tried the above or similar outfits? I am currently using my "stealth" bag which is a rather frayed, dirty gray sling bag valued more for its under-the-radar presence than the precise fit of camera, lens and accessories. Still, everything fits : above + 85mm macro, 55mm macro, 50mm 1.4 and various batteries, filters and etc. I am a pinchpenny at heart, but I do like the right tool. Tom

I've got the Lowepro 202AW also, and it has the length to hold a gripped D5100 with a 55-200 with ease. The 28-300 is reported to be 4.5" (114.5mm), and the 55-200 DX VR is 3.9", and the bag has 3/4" left when the hood is reversed.

I currently own the 3 items you've mentioned. On a photo shoot, I'd take along my 12-24mm, my 60mm micro + the 28-300mm. Fitting another lens into the LP202 may be too tight. But the 3 above lenses are all I need. I also use the top pocket for my SB700 speedlight. The LP202 is one of the best camera bags I've ever own.
