"New ameteur entrant to DSLR"

Hi,

Iam a new entrant to DSLR, and I have bought Nikon D5100 recently.
Iam looking out for becoming an expert with all the help from the veterans here.

Rgds
Chetan

I do not have this camera, so don't have first-hand knowledge of any battery heating issues that may or may not plague the D5100.

But I CAN tell you that ALL batteries generate heat as they dissipate power. Heat is the result of work. If you take your battery out and it is warm, that is normal. If it is too hot to handle comfortably, that is a sign of a problem.
