"D3100 Video is really dark"

Am I doing something wrong? I shot a couple of videos with the stock lens in indoor light, and the videos came out really dark. (Way darker than my mePhone or my point-and-guess.)

I would think the big sensor in the D3100 would be much brighter.

Here is a sample: (my apologies, I left this in the original format, so it is about 35 meg.)

(I will most likely delete tis after a few days, I just thought this would be helpful for people who know what I am doing wrong.) I have the Autofocus set to single, area is set to normal and metering is center weighted.
