I have upgraded my D3000 to a D7000 but I thought I should post this shot for all you D3000 users. When I shot this pic I was still learning the camera and photography. But this gives an idia of the potential of the D3000. There are more posted on my gallery.

I was very close, about 20'. This is the photo, no cropping shot at 300mm with a Nikor AFS DX VR 70-300 lens. Great lens for about $500.00 - $600.00. f/4.5 - f/5.6. I have includded a shot of a Red Tailed Hawk with the same lens mounted on my D7000. Amazing camera!

I have been using my D3000 but I notice my photo's coming out just a little noise even at 200ISO... Can you share some of your settings?

I have been using Aperture Pri, I switch between a 35mm f/1.8, the 18-55mm Kit and a 70-300mm (Manual focus), and I shot in RAW. I only really notice the noise while zooming in on the photo's. Also this last weekend I turned Noise Reduction off, and turned Active-D Lighting both of these helped a little but still can't figure it out...

Any suggestions

Thanks
L
