"Shooting movies on the D3100 in 4:3"

I lately bought a D3100, the D3100 has video in 1920 x 1080 (I'm not sure if its interlaced or progressive).
This seems to be a 16 to 9 format(I'm not sure here too) but the stills from the D3100 are 4 to 3 right?
I was wondering if I could maintain the same aspect ratio for video and stills. Is there some kind of setting for this?

Still (i.e. "normal") images from the D3100 are 4608 x 3072 pixels, which is an aspect ratio of 3:2, not 4:3. As you say, video output from the camera is 1920 x 1080, which is a 16 to 9 ratio.
